Leafing has begun at Sagemoor Vineyards!

Bloom has come and gone, unveiling our cluster architecture and berry set. We are seeing berries swell before our eyes, with pea sized berries in Chardonnay blocks as well as the Rhone varieties at most vineyards.

We are seeing a loose set in our Cabernet Sauvignon blocks at Weinbau.  All other blocks across the farm set with ease. We have full canopies in all our vineyards and have begun plucking basal leaves, opening up the canopy to allow dappled sunlight to touch the berries.

As always we look forward to seeing you out in the Vineyards! If you wish to meet up to look at your blocks and discuss future work, please call Lacey at (509) 830-8949 a day in advance. Production managers can also meet you day of and will be able to let you know if any blocks are closed for pesticide re-entry.

Congratulations to all the winners at the Seattle Wine Awards, we are proud to see so many of you make the list!
